There is a worksheet for every times table, and each one covers the whole table, all the way to twelve, in shuffled order. Shuffling matters: a child working down a neat 2, 4, 6, 8 list is adding, not recalling, and the worksheet flatters them. Once the individual tables feel solid, the mixed-practice pages pull facts from every table at random, which is the only honest test of whether the tables actually landed. After that come the arrays, the repeated-addition pages, the fact family triangles and, finally, written column multiplication in two and three digits.
The fastest way through the times tables
Short and frequent beats long and rare. Five minutes a day on one table will do more than an hour on Sunday. Take them in the order that gives the quickest wins: 2, 5 and 10 first, then 3 and 4, then the squares, then 6, 7, 8 and 9, which is where most children stall. The layout, the vertical format and the answer boxes are identical to our addition and subtraction sheets, so nothing on the page is new except the maths.
Frequently asked questions
What grade are multiplication worksheets for?
Ages 7-9, which is second through fourth grade in most curricula. Third grade is when the times tables are usually expected to be memorised. If a child still needs to count groups to find 4 times 3, start with the array and repeated-addition pages, and work with the multiplication chart and counters for a while before printing the drill sheets. If they are still at the counting stage, start two steps earlier with our kindergarten math worksheets.
Is there an answer key?
No. Each PDF is a single practice page with no separate answer sheet. For self-checking, print the filled grid from our multiplication chart page, or the week's poster from our times table charts, and let the child verify their own answers against the grid, which is a better habit than waiting for an adult.
Are these free for a classroom?
Yes. Unlimited copies for classrooms, homeschools, libraries and tutoring, at no cost, with no sign-up and no watermark. You just cannot sell them or re-upload them to another site. The tables also unlock our fraction worksheets, where equivalent fractions are multiplication in disguise.
Before the tables, make sure the places are solid: our place value worksheets cover tens, ones and expanded form, which is where the carrying in multi-digit multiplication comes from.
A line like 6 + 4 × 5 needs the times tables and the rule that decides which sign goes first. Our order of operations worksheets take that second half on, and every sheet there comes with an answer key.

One table at a time
When a single table is the problem rather than multiplication in general, that table gets a page of its own. The 7 times table has eighty sheets to itself: the chart, in-order and mixed-up drills, missing numbers, dividing by 7, dot arrays and timed tests, with an answer key on page two of every PDF. The 6 times table set and the 8 times table set get the same treatment, eighty sheets each, and so do the nines, whose answers all have digits adding back to nine. Underneath all of them sits the 3 times table: double it for the sixes, treble it for the nines, and every one of its answers has digits that add up to 3, 6 or 9. Beside it, the 4 times table gets there by doubling twice, and halving twice takes it back. The 2 times table opens the family with plain doubling, and the 5 times table rides the easiest self-check there is: every answer it owns ends in 5 or in 0. The 11 times table closes the family with doubled digits, 44, 55, 66, and only three facts past 99 left to learn.
