5 Times Table Worksheets
The 5 times table is the one a child can carry on their own two hands: five fingers, 10 fingers, and every count of minutes around a clock face. Every answer ends in 5 or in 0, taking turns the whole way down. The reference half of the page: a chart for the wall, strips for a pencil case, cards to cut out and the in-order ladders a child fills while the run is still new. Read only the last digit of each answer going down: 5, 0, 5, 0, the whole way to 60. No other table keeps a promise that simple, and a child who has been shown it owns half the marking scheme.

Counting 5, 10, 15 is the easiest chant in arithmetic, which is exactly why it hides so much: asked 5 x 8 on its own, a child either has 40 or starts the climb from 5 all over again. Look at the last digit. Every answer in the 5 times table ends in 5 or in 0: an odd number times 5 ends in 5, an even number times 5 ends in 0. Read the chart once, count 5, 10, 15 up and down once, then answer the same twelve facts shuffled.
Five fingers on every hand
One hand is 5 fingers, so counting in 5s is a skill most children arrive with. Two hands are 10 fingers, four hands are 20, and the word problem sheets lean on exactly that: hands, the points of stars, the minutes between clock numbers. The array pages draw the same idea as 5 rows of dots, and the number lines as equal hops of 5.
The clock runs on this table
The numbers around a clock face count minutes in fives: the 3 means 15 minutes past, the 6 means 30, and the full circle is 5 x 12 = 60 minutes, one hour exactly. A child learning to read an analogue clock is practising the 5 times table without being told, and the reverse holds too: a child fluent in this table picks up the clock in an afternoon.
Ends in 5 or ends in 0, and in nothing else
The answers take turns: 5, 10, 15, 20, the odd positions ending in 5 and the even ones in 0. That gives a self-check that needs no adult and no chart, and it works at any size: 85, 240 and 1005 all belong to the fives, while 52 cannot, whatever the working said. It never names the factor, only whether the answer can be right at all.
Half of the ten times table
Multiplying by 5 is multiplying by ten and halving it. 5 x 8: ten eights are 80, and half of that is 40. With an even factor it is quicker still: 5 x 8 is simply 4 tens. The missing-number and division sheets run this route backwards, and the endings rule above marks their answers, because an exact division by 5 can only ever start from a number ending in 5 or 0.
Print in this order
Chart and in-order ladder first, while counting up still carries the child. Then the half-filled and missing-answer pages, where the run has to be rebuilt from inside. Then the shuffled sheets, which are the first honest test, and the missing-factor and division pages, which ask the table backwards. Mixed tables follow, because on a page of pure 5s nobody reads the first number, and the timed grids come last: speed is the receipt for the work, not the work.
Every question sheet carries its key
Each sheet that asks anything is a two-page PDF: the activity on page one and the same layout on page two with the answers printed in green. The reference pages, the chart, the desk strips and the traced table, have no key because nothing on them is hidden. The flashcards use their second page for the card backs, so a double-sided print lines up.
