Kindergarten Morning Work
Forty daily pages, one predictable routine: trace the letter, trace the number and fill its ten frame, solve one small maths task, write your name, circle the weather. Set 1 ramps A to T and 1 to 20; set 2 finishes the alphabet and pushes to 30.

Download PDFSchool days of the week tracing
Monday to Friday on handwriting guides, one solid example and traceable repeats per row, because the morning routine starts with what day it is.
Download PDFWeather words tracing
The five weather words the daily pages keep asking about, on guides: trace sunny to windy so circling the icon can grow into writing the word.
Download PDFNumber words tracing, one to ten
One to ten written out and traceable, the bridge between the numeral the child traces daily and the word they will soon be asked to read.
Download PDFMorning work star chart
Twenty numbered outline stars, one to colour for each finished morning page: a whole set fits on one chart and the child watches the month fill up.
Download PDFWhat is morning work?
Morning work is the short, predictable page a kindergartner starts the moment they sit down, while the teacher takes attendance and the room settles. It is not new teaching: it is five to ten quiet minutes of practice on things already met, in a format so familiar that nobody needs to ask what to do. That familiarity is the point, and it is why every daily page in this set has exactly the same four jobs in the same four places.
How the 44 pages work
Forty daily pages come in two sets of twenty, four school weeks each. Every page carries the same routine: trace the letter of the day, trace the number of the day and colour it into a ten frame, solve one small maths task, then write your name and circle today's weather. The maths task rotates through the week: counting a scatter of shapes, continuing a shape pattern, comparing two groups, reading tally marks, and finding the day's number missing from a mini number line.
Set 1 is the back-to-school ramp: letters A to T in order, numbers 1 to 20, AB patterns and picture comparisons. Set 2 turns the dial: the last letters U to Z followed by the classic confusion pairs (b and d, p and q, m and n), numbers 11 to 30 with double and triple ten frames, AAB patterns, numeral-against-numeral comparisons and tally counts past ten. A child who finishes both sets has done forty mornings of quietly accumulating practice.
The four support sheets cover the words the routine keeps using: tracing the days of the week, the weather words and the number words, plus a twenty-star chart to colour one star per finished morning.
Do the pages need to be done in order?
Within a set, yes, roughly: the letters march through the alphabet and the numbers climb, so day 14 assumes day 9 happened. Between sets the jump in difficulty is deliberate. If a child starts mid-year, start them mid-way: pick the day whose letter and number match where the class is, and go from there.
Print at 100% (choose "actual size" in the print dialog) on US Letter or A4 paper. The routine leans on skills that have their own full galleries here: letters in the alphabet tracing worksheets, numerals in the number tracing worksheets, counting in the counting worksheets, the mini line in the number line worksheets, and the first-day icebreaker in the All About Me worksheet. For the other end of the school day there are exit tickets.
