How do you teach the sight word “to”?
Say “to” naturally, stretch it only once, and bring its print into view. Hearing, seeing and writing “to” should happen in that order.
“To” has 2 letters: t-o. Read “We go to school.” and “Give the book to me.” aloud, then ask the child to point to “to” before tracing or copying it.
